Just like a saddle is usually the only piece of equipment between you and a horse, a telescope saddle plate is often times the only piece of hardware used to attach your optical tube assembly to its mount.
Tailor-made to fit Explore Scientific scopes, our Losmandy-style saddle plate has a length of 7.5 inches and will fit a variety of popular mounts. Black anodized for longevity and beauty, these plates are made of rigid aluminum that manages to be both strong and lightweight.
